Herts on Tuesday I saw a referee give a pen too Fulham for someone from wolves defence for trying to protect his face

There we go then, even the Pros cant help it Well, it is Wolves so I use the term "Pro" lightly

A genuine attempt to protect the face is instinctive.

For me it was just a natural reflex action by Fonte in response to having the ball smashed at him at 80mph from all of 5 yards away. Folk should base their judgement on just one look in real time and not on numerous replays from various angles and various speeds; leave that to Lineker & co.

Bobby not giving this penalty won me £101.50 as I had Southampton on to win. IT WAS NEVER A PENALTY!

If you have time to bring your hands up to protect your face, then you have enough time to move your face out of the way. Handball for me.

Anyone who is dumb enough to move their hands away from their face when a ball has been smashed at it is not only a master of their own instinctive reactions (very unlikely) but also pretty dumb.

A ball in the face really hurts and is potentially very dangerous.

Would anyone here really punish some one for genuinely stopping a ball hit with power from hitting them in the face from close range?
