...both benches actually did raise the question. A "can we bring him on yet?" from one and a non-aggressive curious "you sure about that?" from the other, but it was clear they didn't know (and I can't imagine it comes up often), and both perfectly happy once I explained. One coach did whip his phone out, I'd imagine a quick google or the IFAB app, and after about a minute seemed perfectly happy with what went on as I saw him showing his phone to the other bench.
Must admit first thing I did back in changing room was to double-double-double-check and hope I hadn't dropped a massive bollock
