Hi all,
Amy advice please. The new rule for this age group is that instead of a throw on they now kick it in. However, the advice isn't very clear. For example. What happens if he dribbles in on himself (he is allowed to do this) and then just shoots and it goes directly in the goal without touching anyone else? Is this discounted as you can't score directly from a traditional throw on.

This is allowed. The player has a choice whether to dribble or do a kick in. The player can technically do this but a focus of this rule is to improve players’ technical ability so you will probably see most coaches wanting players to dribble and pass instead of shooting.

This is my best guess and think anything else would not be sensible.

Kick-in is just like any other restart, if you touch it again after you kicked it in, it would be a IFK.
