Just a random query; how often are you cautioning a player for a slide tackle foul? Is going to ground enough to constitute reckless as there's a possibility of a dangerous outcome and the player should be aware of this?

If any form of challenge meets the criteria for reckless or excessive force as shown in Law 12, that's a caution. Sliding tackles can of course be fair, or may meet the criteria.
