Another nail in the anti-VAR coffin. If you will allow replays in HD in the ground then you need VAR. No way either MO or the AR could have seen the arm-in for the goal given the angles but clearly should have been disallowed. A clearer case for VAR (now it’s in play for some competitions) could not be made.

The Referee Store
... and of course the Lions go on to win - enduring controversy rumbles

The handball goal, however wrong, should not mask Evertons poor display
And the guy who gave the fk away takes a slice of the pie too

Ref, as most are, is static, hard spot, maybe if he had moved with the knock on, instead of praying for an angle by standing where he was, he would have given himself a chance of it.

No blame attributed, but I reckon his coach be reminding him not to stand still there, aleays expect the unexpected

Ciley EPL refs are invariably bolted to one spot at set pieces, almost as if that's what they are told to do.

Yip, thats why I cant be hatsh and cant say I would have done any better
But a bit of movement would have given him a chance

And afterall, improvment is what we all strive for.

I aint seen it, but radio pundits claimed the HB wasnt deliberate
I'd approve the law change to disallow any goal scored with the hand because it causes such strong emotion
