I was actually at this game. Being a hibs fan it seemed that both cards were harsh. Think Thompson(no 38) challenge was reckless and late but did not think it was worthy of a red card.
Happy with the reds for the confrontation. Only thing I felt he took too long to administer the cards, he pfaffed about talking to Collins and one of the Utd players before calling over Thomson and the Utd Centre Half
