Now the game is done, I have my less emotionally red biased head on.
Dowd had an odd game in some ways. Heavy on the cautions for some challenges which I thought were a bit soft. In particular the Gerard caution. Dowd could have gotten away with it if he hadn't then ignored dier recreating the same challenge, except going straight through the back of Sturridge moments later, which Dowd ignored. Created a rod for his own back.
Not a bad performance from Dowd. Great game to watch and Liverpool win with a super Mario goal. Happy days.

man alive dowd is having a shocker.
How Sturridge didn't get a penalty (67th minute) tackle from behind - I have no idea.
Red tinted glasses of bias are on mind you
The same way Kane didn't get a pen in the first half.
Good too see that Phil Dowd will give a YC for a YC challenge whether it is the 1st or91st min. Something Clattenberg and Oliver will not do.
Great spot by Ledger for the pen, I had to watch it several times to see it. But I remember him overruling my flag for a pen when I ran a line for him a few years ago... w***er
