LIV ARS

The Referee Store
The officials are included as part of the pitch. So the lino touching the ball with his hands makes no difference if the player was trying to do a trick corner?
Officials being part of the pitch is another old school teaching :D . Nothing in law that says that directly or indirectly.

The second part of your post is not clear, is it a question or a statement with a question mark at the end? In either case what is the point you are making? Are you saying the AR shouldn't have touched the ball or it's ok to do it? Note the ball was out of play when he touched it.

Would it prevent the trick? If the ball is in play, ball hitting/touching an AR would make no difference?

Interesting that the English/UK RA included in their Christmas email message to give an indirect free kick if we see this trick.

Except if a promising attack starts...

If a promising attack starts (likely) it's a dropped ball from where the ball touched the match official.

Or possession changes which is the much more common one.
True. Was thinking of the trick corner scenario so unlikely but would also cause a 💩show if the opposing team then went and gained possession 1st.
