Leicester City v Manchester City

No comment on the various controversial incidents highlighted on TV but did anyone see where a player lay on the ball and got a free-kick?

I was a long way away but it appeared a Leicester player, either accidentally or deliberately, dived onto the ball and trapped it under his body with no attempt to get up. A Manchester City player (De Bruyne I think) was then penalised for trying to kick the ball while it was stuck. If you didn't see it, maybe it's hard to judge, but can a player really just "shield" the ball by falling on it?

Didn't see the incident. But in general terms, if a player accidentally falls on the ball and then someone kicks him before he has the chance to get up, then I'm giving at least a free kick against the guy kicking him and quite possibly a card as well. If a player deliberately falls on the ball and / or is making no effort to get up then I'm very quickly penalising him for playing in a dangerous manner, to avoid things getting out of hand!
