City might not have scored directly every time, but have using this all season, in response to teams pressing them so high. The match against Spurs being the best example.
It helps that they've probably got two of a select group of keepers who can knock it 90 yards, and still put it on a sixpence..

So many people including some players at top level don't realise you can't be offside from a gk!

Do you ever fear that, despite knowing this or any part of law very thoroughly, you might commit a clanger? I keep envisaging that I'll blow the whistle, prompted by CAR, before I remember it was from a goal kick. Heaven forbid that it were a game-changer. I suppose the only possible excuse is that you had seen a phantom offside prior to the goal kick and forgotten to signal.
