Yes please, what's the going rate? Ten?Anyone think that there should be points deductions??
Was sat in the stand where the coins where being thrown and they are (mostly) a load of thugs those who were chucking the coins. But personally why should the club and the rest of the fans be punished for a few mindless yobs crap behaviour
Perhaps because they are so called fans of the club? Who else would control them? Was sat in the stand where the coins where being thrown and they are (mostly) a load of thugs those who were chucking the coins. But personally why should the club and the rest of the fans be punished for a few mindless yobs crap behaviour
"Mostly"?...........Was sat in the stand where the coins where being thrown and they are (mostly) a load of thugs those who were chucking the coins. But personally why should the club and the rest of the fans be punished for a few mindless yobs crap behaviour
"Exterminate", probably too good for them.......its a huge topic here at the moment, its called, "strict liability" and nobody, clubs/government/police can come to an agreement on the protocol.
There will be a serious incident here, pyro device striking a player/official and then everyone will say, ah, if only we had put measures in place earlier.... (disclaimer nothing is fool proof but at the moment its a free for all)
we have already had an official with head split open by a coin, this season, from the away end at a game.
Who do you punish? The home side for giving the allocation to the away team?
The away team for selling the ticket to the clown?
The ticket was given to someone else after being sold to someone else in the away team ballot.
So, the away team did not actually sell the ticket to the clown
Do we then fine/ban/exterminate the guy who sold the ticket to his mate?
and round and round it goes....
"Exterminate", probably too good for them.......
Don't give them ideas, remember these are Leeds fans....Could be the half time entertainment. Last weeks offenders being executed on the park. Then least nobody can say they were not warned
Are there any precedents suggesting 'closed doors' makes a difference? The answer is stadium closures. Yes it inconveniences innocent supporters, but less so than points deductions, and when the closure ends these innocent supporters will come down hard on those causing the trouble and point them out. Also, as it will cost the club a lot of money they will take extra steps to prevent it from happening again, be that extra stewards, paying for additional police, issuing long bans to offenders, etc. At the moment the clubs get miniscule fines (in the grand scheme of things) so there is no incentive for them to pay money to fix it. Whereas a stadium closure for a club like Leeds would cost up to £1 million per game when you take into account refunding season ticket holders, lost ticket revenue, lost food and drinks income, etc.
To use an analogy, it would be a bit like if the fine for not buying a car parking ticket was the same as the ticket itself. No one would bother buying a ticket as they would be no worse off if fined.
Common sense and a civil sporting attitude perhaps? Are there any precedents suggesting 'closed doors' makes a difference?
My take on it, if we accept ridiculous behaviour on the FOP, what do we expect from the stands?
Maybe it came out wrong what I meant was quite a few of the people who sit in that stand spend more time abusing the opposition players than watching the game. But people who I know who sit in their are just innocent supporters of Leeds who go there to watch their team"Mostly"?...........
