I mean....it certainly looks from the article that there should have been at least one retake and a YC...but we all said on here when a mandatory YC was introduced that it was going to make something that is currently un-practiced throughout the game even less likely to be acted on and that seems to be the case.

2 yards? I am only looking at the two still images...

First one, barely a yard, second one is absolutely fine imo

The 3rd one I've missed...

Just seen a very blurry youtube vid of the last save (I presume its the 3rd one you're on about) certainly further of the line than the previous two. She's possibly taking advantage of not being told to be careful after the first two, although I wouldn't have awarded a retake for either.

Can't remember the last time a retake was ordered for a keeper coming off his line especially during a shoot out.

If it wasn't scored, the 3rd one at the very least should have been picked up by the officials.

One shoot out imparticular that I can think of where officials "turned a blind eye" was Spain vs South Korea in the 2002 World Cup. Korean keeper was taking the proverbial for every Spanish kick and replays showed he was almost 4 yards off his line when he saved Spain's final kick! Which makes me wonder if officials at the highest levels are told to turn a blind eye.

The problem I have with all the images is that the ball is already in motion. Where are the photos of the point when the ball is kicked?

The ball is only in motion for a moment. The keeper would step out with her front foot then bring her back foot up - I don't think the images provide a misleading representation.
Personally I think the first is fine, second is probably getting close, but the third must be a retake no matter how bad the kick is. Anybody disagree?

I do. The ball is in motion. So is the goalkeeper. The publishers of the article chose to freeze that frame instead of the one at the exact moment the ball was kicked for a reason.

That together with the fact that movement off the line must be blatant for it to be considered encroachment means for me, as much as I don't like it, they were both good saves.

So, which part are you disagreeing with? ;-)

And what about the third image? (this matches with the image taken from behind the goal where you can see a full lunge from the goalkeeper before the ball is kicked)

There are two pen saves by Brazil and there is an image for each in the main article. They both are frames of when the ball is already on its way and not the exact time it was kicked.

There are more images further down taken from tweets by fans. They are either not from the saved penalties or the ball is even further in motion. One shows the ball almost on top of the goal area line.

Having looked at a few videos the first save was more of an encroachment than the second save but both are trifling IMO.
