It's only a throw-in

Ball goes out for a throw-in, player grabs the ball and runs about 5-6 yards down the line to throw it, i blow the whistle and send him back where the ball went off and tell him to stand there and throw it he says" But its only a throw in " oh! they make me smile they should be on Britain's Got Talent.

What do you tell the teams / assistants before the game on how to manage this?

Most times players are ok with positioning of the throw in, but i make sure the player is positioned where the ball goes off so as to take the throw and i look for the foul throw i don't rely on the CAR's to do any of this for me...... they flag for offsides (although my pre match talk does include a talk about me over ruling their offside flag if need be) and throws only.
