How many competitive games have you guys reffed?

Hey guys. I was just interested in knowing approximately how many competitive games you guys have reffed since you began refereeing and at all levels, regardless of what level you are at now. I'm sure everyone else would be interested too :)

12 in total. I’ve been doing games since November last year, but that’s only about 5 months in reality. I’ve reffed 5 friendlies as well in the last few weeks - a couple of them have certainly been competitive in nature! 😀
(I’ve kept a spreadsheet of all the games I do so know it specifically. It wasn’t something I thought I’d do but I actually find it useful and it could be interesting to look at in 20 years time.)

I reffed in my youth, and restarted with my kids (AYSO uses 100% volunteer refs--typically parents who volunteer, and some of us enjoy it and stay around). I only do youth games (now almost exclusively 14U through 19U). I've never really tracked, but my best guess is between 300 and 400 games of various levels.

Best guess would be coming up around 4-500.
Given I used to do 2 or 3 or when I first started sand have now tailed off to c. 30-40 a season I would guess that's quite accurate over 7-8 years in the middle

Since September last year at youth football (I’m 15) I’ve refereed 55 games of which I’d say 45 were competitive fixtures

Nice. That's quite a bit of pocket money you racked up there haven't you. How much you getting per game for youth?

It’s been unbelievable money for someone my age! My local league is £32 for u15 upwards £29 for u13-14, £26 for u11&12, £20 for u9&10 and £14 for u7&8 - some games I’ve done for school where I didn’t charge much because I can’t charge school that much and more than anything as I’ve reffed more I’ve enjoyed it more and the money is a bonus on top of enjoyment now. I’d say I’ve done 35 u13 upwards and the other 20 below that age in a range of ages plus the school fixture and have been lucky with my allocations to often get the prem games which are for me a great experience aswell as having reffed district and an offer at Wast Hills (Birmingham City’s training ground)!

Lost count. I used to keep track. I think I've observed as many as I've watched. Probably refereed around 500 and observed the same number. Also been an AR on around 250 or so?

482 as referee, 222 as assistant and 17 as 4th official. 903 cautions and 132 reds issued. There are actually more than that as I only started recording in 2003/04 and I'd done a few seasons before then.

My legs are hurting just thinking about that 2007/08 season ... :) 2010/11 is the season I got promoted to level 3, and you can see that even though I did less games than the previous season both cautions and reds were significantly up from the previous season and the majority of those would have been in supply league games. Just shows that having lots of cards doesn't necessarily stop you getting promoted.

0 for me.
games in my signature are friendlies.

leagues were supposed to start last week and were put on hold until tomorrow. Never got an allocation for my Saturday or Sunday league which is gutting. Still cannot wait to get started competitively

Somewhere in the region of 2000. Used to do 4 games a weekend in my youth, thought of that now gives me the heebie jeebies!!

Qualified in March 2009 - since then I've done 314 middles, 278 lines, and 4 matches as Fourth Official (not including friendlies). I've given out 408 cautions, and 42 reds.

Slightly below average on cautions, but way above on dismissals

Miles below average on cautions but reds fairly normal. Maybe some youth games in there?

Wish I'd kept a proper list...

Nearly 11 years in, must be 300 ish, plenty of reds, plenty of yellows

Love this!

I just finished this season last weekend with 94 plus 6 u8 games for a round 100.
This is season 8. In 2017 I also did over 100.
If I throw in the couple of tournaments abroad then it must be over 500. If I add futsal then it's probably 700. Ouch. I should count.

Edit: I just counted as our online system keeps all the games we get paid for. That was 516. Missing some youth tournaments at home and abroad. So, maybe 600 and something.

It's been 6 days with no matches and I'm going nuts!

I wish I'd kept a record, but I think I must be closing in on 500 now. Vast majority (probably 95%) have been youth middles.

Qualified in 2007 at 15 (eek!) and did 5/6 games every weekend for the first few years but that has dropped off significantly in the last 3/4 seasons. As a result of a long term injury and work commitments I think I've only done about 40 games since the 15/16 season, but back to reffing every weekend now so that number should be heading up pretty quickly.

Somewhere in excess of 1500. 18 full seasons at an average of 80 games = 1440.

3 truncated seasons on top of that too.
There were periods where I was unemployed and not eligible for JSA either so did as many games as possible to make ends meet. Highest season saw 112 games plus tournaments.
