Had a team today who asked me how long is left? I said 30 seconds. So they sent all their team up for the corner including keeper and scored. Left me wondering, had I given them a ‘free hit’ to get the winning goal? Felt a bit unfair they could put all players in the oppo box in the knowledge there wouldn’t be enough time for the other team to counter and score.

I have been working on saying a minimum of...
Then if a team is being pushy in extra time for the game to end, I'll often say things like: "I said a minimum of three minutes, but you're holding up the game so I am stopping the watch everytime"
Not sure how experienced you are @raf83 but I often want the game to end, as it gets dangerous towards the end.

I only ever say how long has been played. Means you don't need to do maths and allows for additional stoppage time.
