Having officals on line

A two footed tackle is sending off all day long and i would say one of the assessors on here would say the same thing

Well, here's one assessor telling you you're wrong.
The 2 feet are merely a tool used to identify if a player is in control. Also to be considered are speed, proximity of opponents etc.
A player can slide in with both heels on the ground, he is in more control than a standard slide tackle.

I couldn't agree more. " A two footed challenge is a sending off all day long" is simply not the case. It is also very unfair to make such a comment based on the OP. Dave saw it, gave it and stood by it.

As match officials you are always expected to work as a team. If you as a referee award a penalty kick, the AR has to move up to the intersection between the goal line and the penalty area. If the AR thinks you have made an error, his work is to ASSIST you. In this case, the AR has totally failed you.
If you make a mistake, correct it before a restart or stick to it.
