Level 7 Referee
Did anyone get a formal complaint ı just got one from a team ı refereed 4tımes lost every sıngle one of them. And kinda stressed

A major concern of ours, and our opponents team and management agree, is that a red card was given to our goalkeeper for a challenge around the 20th minute. Our keeper challenged one of our opponents players as they were attacking. Our goal keeper was not the last man as there were 2 defenders covering. The referee was then heard saying he was going to give it as a yellow but changed his mind. Our Captain asked for an explanation from the referee as to why it was a red and not a yellow, and the referee ignored him. When both teams and sets of management agree that it was not a red card, this raises eyebrows as to the referees understanding of the rules of play. / Sıtuatıon was player goıng took the ball from halflıne driving the ball toward goal no defenders keeper gets out tackled the player just a yard outsıde box the neares defender was atleast 5-6 meters to the left dogso red card

A particularly reckless challenge was witnessed by the referee, our player was sweeped by one of the opposition and hit directly in his shins. It was incredibly dangerous and intentional yet the player was only shown a yellow, despite our keeper being sent off for his challenge. / Reckless challenge player lost the ball got mad try to kıck the ball ın front of hım whıle other player try to control ıt swıng hıs leg made a kıck hıtt the ball then hıt the other player but softly that the other player somehow get ıp ın 20 seconds after kıck lıke that the other player get a cautıon for reckless challenge opınıons please

Speaking as an ex-appointments officer, this is pretty standard stuff, they lost and just want to vent off. Refers to last man which is obviously irrelevant, then says that a reckless challenge should be a red card. File it under a waste of paper / a waste of digital ink.

I wouldn't generally send these reports to referees as it doesn't help, and just demoralises them. Rather if there was a theme for a certain referee that multiple clubs mentioned I would collate those and give him feedback based on that. Sending on every bit of nonsense that clubs sent in would serve no purpose.

Trying to break down what was written (I agree with Rusty by the way, done that job helping someone whilst they were unable to do the role for a season)...

They mention a foul by the keeper. They added that he was not last man by saying two covering defenders.
This is, to me, irrelevant unless he is running next at the defenders. Even trying to paint the picture without (what I assume is your description of the incident after the / ), the forward has gone towards goal, centre of pitch likely, and keeper has fouled him. The forward has likely slowed down because of the keepes presence and allowed defenders to close in, fouling him has allowed the perception of the players being near to him to be seen as cover. The club has unlikely taken in to consideration distance to goal in relation to where offence has taken place and the likelihood of those defenders clearing the ball IF the attacker had NOT been fouled. If he had not been fouled, heading towards goal, with the keeper now behind him (assuming not being fouled following the attempted challenge), he would have had an extremely high chance of scoring.
Last factor is now whether inside the area or not and whether the keeper was making a genuine attempt of playing the ball. If inside, you'd go yellow if attempting the ball,if outside then red. It'll be red if not attempting to play ball regardless. All for DOGSO.
But you said it was outside the box so correctly youve issued a red.
Only learning point from this is if you had said something out loud for others to hear that you were going yellow but then went red then they may ask questions. If you did, then advice would be don't say your sanction to anyone, just show it. Less they can moan about. Theyre already going to moan about a red being issued but to add that you apparently were going yellow could lose control.

The next challenge they mention (as pointed out by Rusty, reckless is yellow) its reckless and want red. They only want red because in their opinion it was dangerous and intentional - remember thats THEIR opinion. And that they were down to 10.
But how do they it was intentional? What evidence do they have that the player done it deliberately to hurt the player? Even dangerous is subjective. In theory every challenge made can be classed as dangerous.

The two situations are completely different, like comparing oranges and apples. Yes one may appear worse than the other, but as its a results game, with goals being the main objective, if you stop someone from doing that like in the first challenge then you're more likely to see red than any other challenge.

Chin up, move on to next game and keep doing what youre doing.

Once you get to level 4 and above you can see what clubs mark you and say about you. I've only had one sub 70 mark this season but it contained something written which factually did not happen as part of their justification. You just have to take it on the chin.

In between typing this I've actually just read a club report from my game a couple of weeks ago and, although the mark was above 70 they've marked me very poor on judgement of major decisions referencing one particular thing that according to them 'the team of officials were the only people in the ground to miss' but when they posted the video of said incident on social media the comments unanimously agreed that it was almost impossible for the officials to spot. You can either get upset about it or laugh about it and move on.

This looks like typical 'non referee language'/frustration from a team who weren't good enough and had a couple of KMIs go against them. We hear this type of thing every week from players, coaches, fans etc. and unfortunately they don't always fully understand the job we do and the framework we work with (LOTG).

To be honest with you, as soon as I read 'rules of play' and 'reckless' should be a red card I started chuckling so I wouldn't worry. Back yourself, back the decisions you make, accepting sometimes we're going to upset people even when we're nailed on.

Thank you so much for everything you said I never said yellow and which referee with common sense do that anyways. The only problem with this I feel like my ref sec lost hope/trust on me which is I might overthink but I can't see my fixtures on ref portal I hope everything will be clear when he answer my email

It may be that there genuinely are no fixtures.
If there are some, then maybe ask the question of why you've not got one yet and hope to get one ASAP.
