End of Penalties to decide a match

Random one this - from my match yesterday.

Penalty "shoot out" ended 3-2 with the deciding penalty being the 10th and last one taken.

Usually, as we know , the decisive spot kick is met with joy and despair in equal measure.

However, for some reason, but in keeping with a slightly "strange" match - more on that on another thread - no one seem to have been keeping score - except me of course!

Scorer, sort of half celebrated and turned to me on the way back to her team mates.

I gave a nod and the celebrations started.

Should I have whistled or something after the decisive penalty - there isn't a prescribed signal to end the shoot out that I'm aware of?

At the end of a penalty shootout I usually blow as if I was blowing for full time.

Yes , should have done that. However, obviously, I didn't blow my whistle after the other successful penalties, thought people might think I was disallowing the goal or something!
