My mates kid just moved to an EJA league u16 team.
He asked if I can ref games and I’m just wondering if it’s something I am allowed to do at level 7?
I believe I can, but thought someone here would know.

You need to consult the Appointments Secretary of the league. They can answer your question but also will advise whether "mate's kid's team" appointments are accepted in the league. If they approve the idea, you are protected to some degree in case something goes wrong at a game.

I used to do the EJA - they do think of themselves as a "proper" league and potential academy feeder league, so I'd be very surprised if they let you do a mate's team at U16 level (they might have let it slide a few years younger).

But if you're willing to travel, I'm sure they'll have you. They pay well and will let you double-up (ie do a U13s then a U14s game consecutively) if you want to for extra earnings.
