Double touch

Question from my other forum, prompted by the Mitrovich incident recently.

IF a player took a double touch from a FK (or GK) and the ball went straight to an attacker who stuck it in the net - could the referee play advantage and allow the goal?

I'm guessing no, similar to a "foul throw" - where play has to be stopped immediately, but not 100% sure so thought I would consult on here.

Just for some added realism, something very similar DID happen when QPR played Man City in the PL many moons ago now. Joe Hart double touched a GK, the ball went straight to Charlie Austin who scored. HOWEVER in those days ball had to leave PA from a GK to be in play so ref (Mike Dean) correctly awarded a retake.

Obviously if it happened today it would be a fk to the attacking side unless anyone thinks we CAN play advantage in these situations?

Thanks all
