Had my first DOGSO Red Card in the box last night (no possibility of playing the ball). What code does this go through as? S4 is for DOGSO handball, and S5 is for free kick DOGSO? Is it just S1 SFP?

Well if it’s DOGSO it’s definitely not S1! Was it DOGSO because of a handball or a “normal” foul? That will answer your question. Where the DOGSO red is given on the pitch doesn’t affect the code you report it as.

Haha I see the logic! Poorly worded though
I think in law it says offence punished with a free kick.
So the offence you have penalised is punished by a free kick. The difference is offences that are punished with a free kick inside the boundary of the penalty area, the free kick is a penalty.

"a direct free kick offence" (in above definition) is an "offence punishable by a free kick" (for S5 requirment)

I think it has to do with the history. Originally all DOGSO was red. The confusion really comes from the changes that make some DOGSO in the PA a caution, but no updates to the langague. (They have good company with IFAB in failing to see the ripple effects of changes and where they can cause confusion . . . )
