Reading my post again. Its me. I have deleted the content of my post to avoid confusion. What i meant to say is that playing in a reckless manner is only a DFK if it is classified as one of the then DFK offences. The 'recklessness' describe in the OP is not of the ten so it is not a DFK.

A tackle is simply a challenge for the ball, IMO. If somebody comes in for a slide tackle that is wild and the opponent has to leap to avoid, this is a DFK, not IFK in my books.

A tackle which is careless, reckless or uses excessive force is a foul and a DFK.
