so today was my first league game and all I got was 'offside' in his back ref , cmon ref blow , and chelp. Yellow card for dissent and one for reckless challenge .. Does the comments ever stop that make you feel like your missing everything or does everyone get them

Perfectly normal. Most of the time they do it to make you doubt yourself!

Good news - you learn filter it out and if it's your thing, learn some witty one liner come backs.

Talking of witty one liners -

I was senior AR and the winning manager is shouting the usual "come on ref! How much added on time are you playing??" Blah blah blah

He then shouts "God ref, a game is 45 minutes!"

Giving me the perfect window to correct him as I run down the line "a game is 90 minutes mate!"

Cue eruption of laughter.

Don't let it get to you.

You could gave pretty much the perfect game and you'd still get that kind of nonsense, the good thing is that you learn to block it out in time.

And it's amazing how teams moan and blame the ref over 1 decision they 'think' you missed but never the 35 shots they had that went wide

A part of their moaning is to place a bit of doubt in your mind for the next decision.

Don't worry about it. You get used to ignoring it.
