The Ref Stop

Clueless CARS

Good luck with the trip to Easington Mike, I know it well. I'm Manager of Brodsworth in the same league. It's always windy, wet n cold when I've been
just cant wait for it, ah well the scenery should be good on the way there may even stop and take a picture of the Humber bridge, and north Yorkshire ,oooppps Humberside lol

The Ref Stop
"If you are keeping up with play I am happy for you to raise a flag for offside, however the decision as to whether it is offside or not remains solely with me. It is likely that I will overrule you during the match, please do not be offended by this.

I say something very similar along these lines and add something similar when I talk to the players before the match..I tell them to ignore the flags and play to the whistle. You even tend to get support from the manager if you say this up front.

As ever , the key is communication before the issue arises.

But you then get whats he therefore ref even if you have give the skippers pre match instructions , I get it at level 4 on contrib lines the referee only wants you to do certain things the players don't here the refs pre match nor the managers so when you don't give something near you its because the referee has told you not to or give me this /go with me ...............

Had one at the weekend. Sub running the line flagged for offside from a throw in ! :D

some qualified refs get it wrong even more spectacularly, Duncan.

why not encourage your cars's, give them little pointers to help them improve, much more productive than laughing at them on here

yours,
voice of reason / defender of car's :)
