Championship - Red card knocked out of ref's hand

Its like a magic trick. He appears to have nothing in his hand and then when he turns round he looks like he has. As said above likely a quality issue.

The Referee Store
I believe there heave been threads on here about some of his incidents before.

IIRC he disallowed a goal as he blew for full time whilst the ball was in flight.

A lot of referees now have a piece of paper or thin card the same shape as the card in with it. So when they pull the card out the paper comes out with it and they write the details on there. Could be that?

Not the first time a game involving Mr Kettle has boiled over ... ;)

The ridiculous thing is that for all they play in the English league the Welsh FA deal with the discipline, so they have overturned the red card rather than the FA. Not quite sure who will deal with the card being snatched though and what they will do.

apparently newport (along with cardiff and swansea) are part of the English FA now though that used to be the case!

Sorry but that's one of my pet peeves - the red card has not been overturned. Rather, the suspension for it has been lifted (and by the FA, not the Welsh FA, as @es1 mentioned). A technical distinction perhaps but the red card stands and remains on his record.

Any further disciplinary action for knocking the card out of the referee's hand (assuming the referee included it in his report) will also be a matter for the FA.
