So what do we make of this one?
Most boots to face are rather clear, but I'm not so sure here.

Would be an excellent one for the 'mitigating factor' discussion.

To be fair, I can see why the red was given, it just feels the other player is *also* incredibly late and barges into the defender.

Not super late in my view. He wouldn't have made contact with the send off player if not for the leg being in a weird position. Green has jumped and his foot is still at the height of his own shoulder.

it may be (slightly) unfortunate, but it has to be a send off. The contact is too flush for any downgrading.

Clear red card. Remember intent is irrelevant, if you go in to a challenge with your studs that high and make contact you are in big trouble.
