One question.

How was Rice not sent off?
Yes the Brighton player was the instigator of the issue but he actually made a deliberate move to him and took a swipe at him, making actual contact.

Try send someone off today for that and hear their replies.
The EPL are not helping.

this doesn’t enter the ‘excessive force and brutality’ catergory for me and therefore can only be a yellow card in this situation.
 
I'm normally all for sanctioning a kick when the ball is nowhere near as VC, but this was much more of a trip than a kick and it is probably a push to say it used excessive force or brutality. Certainly not enough for VAR to get involved.

He has tripped him up not kicked him. Childish and idiotic. Both should have been cautioned for ruining the end to an Arsenal humbling
