Birmingham v Sheff Utd

3 incidents here, the 3rd (offside) most interesting I think.

1) 1st penalty claim - 12 secs - not for me - good decision
2) 2nd penalty claim - 33 secs - looks a pen to me, that looks deliberate and/or not a 'natural position
3) Non offside - about 1' 30", replay at about 2' 10". Everyone, ie non referees expect that to be called offside but Sharpe has neither played the ball, prevented an opponent from doing so nor interfered with an opponent. Clearly if he's not there then the GK doesn't head the ball, but that's not in the LOTG. Bowyer booked for his protests, but its definately one where 'footbal' want the offside but the LOTG prevents us from calling it.

Thoughts?

1: Looks like his right foot kicks his left calf?

2: Yep, hand interferes with the header too.

3: No realistic chance of playing the ball, and even on the replay it’s difficult to tell from the camera angle whether he’s level or offside. Fits the “benefit of the doubt” argument for me. And let’s not be distracted by the fact that it poor defending afterwards with several chances to clear the ball away not taken.
