While we are at it can we also get some advice for a good coffee machine for a good coffee before I leave for my games 🤣😆

(Sorry... couldn't help it)

In terms of advice for a bike, the best I can offer is that members of a bike forum may be more helpful than members of a referee forum.😄

All good but aside the joke I’m not really into bikes and I know there are few referees who use them for commute just. Its not my fault that there is no test in 4 month time slot 😂😂😂

My day job is in professional cycling and a bike for going 5 miles is a bike is a bike is a bike. What you’ll really want is a big waterproof backpack. Treat yourself there 😂

Riding can be good for cross-training and support a more active lifestyle as well as providing for the game day commute. A decent hybrid commuter bike with a flat bar might be a good choice.

Highly recommend a rack on the back so you don’t have to carry a back pack on your back. It’s much more comfortable. (Bungee cords are greatt for holding things onto it.)

If you can afford it an electric bike is a good idea as it will increase your effective range. The downside is that you’d need to be sure you could secure it at your games as the monetary value is higher than a regular bike.

A hybrid type bike (the crossover between a mountain bike and road bike) is a good purchase as you can go onto unpaved paths as well as cycle lanes etc.
