What's annoying about it is that i had countless handball shouts today. The players expect what they see on TV, but what they see on TV is not the Law as it's written (with respect to HB)

Handball is at 2.20. The ball didn't even hit his hand. It hit him on the shoulder/chest and head. Having his hands spread wide open mislead the referee.
What happens at 1.15? A yellow changed to red? or was the red for another afters incident?
What, do you flap you arms for more height? No reason to be jumping with your arms out at 90 degrees. That doesn't give you more height - and even if it does, so what? 'natural position' (if you're making that argument) has never meant there isn't a foul, though it's taken to be that by some. Not deliberate in a month of Sunday's. Arm is up because that's what happens when you make a jump! Who know's why he turned, perhaps he thought he'd get his head on it.......
No, the player who was penalised was sticking his arm right on in front/to the sideI did an U15 game this morning and even the boys were chatting about how bad a decision the HB was!
What an educated bunch of young fellas they were! The Albanian's hands are crossed over his chest for fecks sake
Suggest you try and jump as high as you can in front of a large mirror or better yet get someone to video you...then watch it back and see exactly what you do with your arms......the unnatural position is keeping them down ffsWhat, do you flap you arms for more height? A random free kick, all players are jumping, all perfectly naturally, defending!!!! Hands are everywhere, up / down, which one are you calling as deliberately attempting to handle the ball before it hits something??? I'd say NONE of them!!!
But the position of the hand doesn't mean its deliberate!!!sorry don't know his name but the one whose number I cant see on his shorts, am calling handball v him, (if indeed his hand makes contact with the ball). If the ball strikes him (and yes I know I run risk of going down a ball to hand path) the he has used his hand/arm to block the ball, deliberately, and am not giving consideration to a natural/unnatural position. He cannot use his hand/arm to block the ball. So I would be penalising him
Where should his hands/arms be? I don't care, as long as they are not somewhere where he has illegally blocked a ball
Jumping motion aside, extended his body shape, with arm/hands, to block the ball
the rest of the players., no, based on that pic, no handball offence should the ball strike them
assuming they are on the way up, 23 and 35 have actually jumped higher, with arms not as high as the guy I cant name, so, going down the road of "he is jumping and using his arms to jump" is not actually doing him good....(other than making himself a bigger blockage for the ball to bypass)
a second look shows 7 is actually Magneto from the X men and levitating, without throwing his hands up into the air and without making himself illegally bigger, so, proves to me the only intention of unnamed man is not just to jump, but to block (with use of hand)
nobody can claim defenders action are spur of the moment and not intentional, of course they are, that's why they are in the defensive wall, to be defensive, cant claim they are too close to the ball, or its unexpectedly battered against them, nope, don't want to give away a pk there, don't put your hand up. The other 3 have shown jumping is entirely possible without putting the hand in a place where it can block the ball away from your own body mass
Yeah, because keeping your arms down is the only other option..../facepalmSuggest you try and jump as high as you can in front of a large mirror or better yet get someone to video you...then watch it back and see exactly what you do with your arms......the unnatural position is keeping them down ffs
You left out a cruicial word. "The position of the hand does not necessarily mean that there is an offence". In essence, the position of the hand can mean it's deliberate (but not always). But the position of the hand doesn't mean its deliberate!!!
