    Observer comments - thoughts?

Hi all, Long time since I last posted. I’ve had an observer make a comment that I wanted your thoughts on because I don’t agree, but wanted some opinions before I phone up county and throw my toys out the pram and appeal the observation etc. So - 4W to 3W observation. CARs but one of them is...

    Breakaway European League.

I haven’t posted here in a number of years but I’ll make an exception for this. Speaking as a fan of Tottenham, I think Gary Neville was absolutely spot on with what he said, it’s a dealbreaker to support them if they go through with it. An absolute disgrace and IMO it makes a mockery of...

    Open Age Worst game ever

Probably worth a try! I reckon I need to stop refereeing in December. There's always something that happens - two years ago I ended up dismissing a player and his comments and general attitude while doing so landed him a lengthy ban, last season someone threatened to stab me (dont think the FA...

    Open Age Worst game ever

I think my main concern with the incident isn't what happened during the game - I've dealt with worse! The issue comes from more not wishing to waste an evening going down to the FA to listen to a load of lies!

    Open Age Worst game ever

Cheers Paul. I've spoken to the league ref secretary about it and he's now aware. I suppose what I'm feeling is just things building up and there's been no positivity around refereeing recently to break it up!

    Open Age Worst game ever

Just returned from literally the hardest game I've ever refereed - green v blue 2-2 AET, 2-4 on penalties with 11 cautions and 2 dismissals (7 and 1 to home team 4 and 1 to away team). HT had 5 cautions, 3 for FT, 1 for C3 and 1 for HB (tried scoring with his hand) 6th caution added in second...

    Open Age Interesting decision today...

It was one of those irritating ones where one team are screaming for a second yellow, one team is screaming no offence committed (really??) and the only correct decision is to piss everyone off :D

    Open Age Interesting decision today...

He stayed on the field :P Gave a direct free kick, when he had a moan up I reminded him he’s been cautioned and his responsibilities as captain... and mainly to play to the whistle :D his team mates didn’t particularly take much notice - 3 in the book from them for C2 afterwards!

    Open Age Interesting decision today...

Hello refchat - been inactive for a while (again) but have returned... First middle of the season today - long overdue! 72nd minute of the game - 2-0 to the home team. Away team skipper had been cautioned two minutes previously for a reckless challenge. Nobody but him complained (naturally)...

    Pushing a team mate

I'd allow it. Let's be honest he's done nothing violently - he's getting a teammate out the way so he can score. @Kes So you'd be allowing an advantage to a team who have (hypothetically - not in this situation) committed an offence worthy of violent conduct? If he'd drop kicked him over the...
