    Mass Confrontation Approach

Some of us on here are lucky enough to have neutral assistants on every game we do. That, admittedly makes it a lot easier. I always tell my ARs to come on as far as they feel comfortable. No one wants to come flying in and catch a windmilling 6ft 4 CB's fist on their bonce, I tend to keep my...

    Difficult match

To be honest, I'd ignore it. But you'd have been within your right to C2 if it was aimed at you. Also, 4 yellows? That's nothing / average... don't let the fact that you book players in a game worry you about if you're in their good books or not...

    Distraction by attacker during play

I've only ever had one caution for verbally distracting an opponent. Striker running towards defender, defender screams (literally screams in his face) striker lost control of the ball in hesitation and raised his hands up to stop running into him, defender puts the ball out for a throw in...

The fastest way to pass from Level 7 to Level 5

I did this jump. The key to it was availability, make sure you get a lot of games in. Submit your games early, so your county have a lot of time to appoint you an observer. Take criticism, ask your observer questions, be polite and be great on your administration. All I would say is the...

Take a look on Essex FA's twitter account, they've got plenty on there. Same on FA Referees. Enjoy.

I wear one watch counting up, one counting down. When asked, I reply, "13+ added". Then I run away :)
