Any one have an issue with Adrian wearing black Kit with the officials? I have seen a rise in black team kits at local level.

    Wholegame system double caution

Not a new referee but a newbie question. I am entering a dismissal for a 2nd caution.... do I put in as a caution and then as a dismissal or just as a dissimisal? I have previously done this as Caution and Dismissal, but I think this is duplicating the input? Any advice welcome.

The LFAs need to be stronger

Not as yet as I fealt little the police could actually prosecute on and would be a waste of Public Money.

The LFAs need to be stronger

Pushed into a gate and spat at by the Assistant coach and the charge is improper conduct!!!! Max 6months ban- Seriously how is this a deterrent !

    Palmers FC Referees

Late to this one. Having played and ref’d in this league over the years, I can confirm that the attitude and approach by some referees and some (most) players is awful, hence the struggle to find qualified officials. The league used to have approx 100 teams and has seen a significant reduction...

Keeper scores from a throw out in open play

Goal - unless the competition rules specifically mention it! If it was an open age 11v11 and a freak gust of wind carried a launch from a keepers foot or hand would the goal stand? Yes! Unlikely but the answer is yes.

    Champions League Final

You guys need to chill out! I have watched this thread with interest and my first, second, third and fourth thoughts were great tackle - perfectly timed and as a player something I would of been proud off. However as much as it pains me to say this, the last clip highlights to me the...

    Sin Bins - 17/18 Season

Absolutely ridiculous what I am reading.... to say that this is unworkable is nothing less than shortsightedness! We need to move with the times and not be so rooted to "in my day". It works for lots of sports notibly Hockey, Rugby and Basketball so calling it an unfair comparison is ludicrous...

Open Age Pitch Boundary and throws

How can you actively manage the situation I have quoted. Player retrieves ball, trots over and within a split second throws it.... only two options, blow for the throw to be retaken (or award to opposition - credibility?!) or allow game to continue. I am glad the question has raised some debate...

Open Age Pitch Boundary and throws

It was thrown directly inline with the goal area at the right spot.

Open Age Pitch Boundary and throws

Nice of the assessor to ask you to check and not tell you one way or the other! Part of me thinks it's not in the "spirit of the game", however if the boundary was 5 metres away, it wouldn't of mattered! The ball is delivered at the point it left as it is not in play until it crosses the touch Line.

Open Age Pitch Boundary and throws

It must have been covered many times before, however... Orange vs Blue, Orange player retrieves ball from beyond the boundary rope (outside of field of play) to take a throw in. Instead of coming to the pitch side he takes a quick and long throw from the non pitch side of the boundary rope. A...

    What would your decision be.....

Personally I think the key is that a decision has to be made. Depending on the temperature of the game and other factors a good tallKing to for both, if it was a more hostile act or reaction, caution for both. Technically a sending off for attempting to strike an opponent.

    Newcastle Penalty

Referee has apologised for the error in law, as he incorrectly gave an indirect free kick for encroachment. Should have been a retake of the pen! We all can have a bad day!

VAR trial - France v Spain

Padfoot - it does seem that you are stuck in "the dark ages". Progress happens all around, for progress not to be made in Football just echos the archaic nature of the FA and its members. There will obviously need to be a limit on the use of technology, but until the limitations are tested, we...

    Contact after shot away

WHU (2) vs LEI (3) - Ayew shoots wildly over the bar (lashed at it) - Huth makes last ditch slide and looks to catch Ayews standing foot a fraction after the shot is away. Any where else this is a DFK (unless a clear advantaged is gained)- in this scenario the contact comes after the shot and...
