At worst, you pay £30 for the season, which includes support, CPD, assistance with promotion aspirations, County Cup appointments . . . when even the 15 games you were able to referee will have yielded around £1200 (?)
Would it be an error in law? - the LOTG state:
The fourth official indicates the minimum additional time decided by the referee at the end of the final minute of each half. The additional time may be increased by the referee but not reduced.
Whilst clubs in most leagues are allowed to use a non-registered referee if there is not a registered referee available, they are not allowed to appoint non-registered officials in advance.

In the first phase there is no offence as player X is not actively involved.
In the second phase, player X is not further forward than the ball so is not offside.
Whether the ball is played forward or not is totally immaterial.

One of the regular issues is that after we deliver a course the attendees should be mentored on one or two of their first five games.
Other than Academies, mentor support is at best sketchy and in many areas it is non-existent.
