Which football boots should I buy?

Astro boots are for specifically astro surfaces. Astros will wear out on concrete, and they will not provide as much grip as normal trainers. Astros on grass, don't bother you will slip and the boots will clog up. Return the astros, swap for those moulds, those studs are for harder grass...

    IFAB Law Changes for 2025/26

Exactly. I ref 12 -18 and some adults. Little word, release it quicker mate, tap the watch job done. Am I going to be enforcing this? Nah. Not necessary.

    Crystal Palace vs Millwall

Did he intend kicking his opponent in the head? No only psychos do that. So, no the players has not meant to hurt his opponent. I had a tooth knocked out, my top lip stitched where my bottom teeth went through it and extensive dental work done post kick in the face playing football, that player...

    IFAB Law Changes for 2025/26

Current six second law is fine. Nobody appeals for it, nobody appears to want it, and its never been an issue in any of my games. Are we going to enforce this on kids games? Nah.

    Wolves vs Arsenal

If that is a red, and if that was a standard we all applied, the game of 11 v 11 wouldn't be 11 v 11 very often.

Junior/Youth match called off after pitch was fit

If this is the text received the referee should pass this onto the body (the league) overseeing the game and to their fixtures Secretary. There will be a procedure as to how matches are called off, and its too cold will not be one of them, unless there was some remarkable extreme in the locality...

U7s kick ins whats a goal and whats not?

In theory its a goal. Would you expect six and seven year olds to understand the complexities of the laws and why they are in place? I ref and coach kids at very early ages. The law change from throw ins to kick ins and dribble in is to stop heading on safety grounds, and encourage creative...

    WHU v MUN

VAR does but that is a differing thing. Nobody expects THAT to be a penalty. And this is only a penalty at one level where its possible to micro analyse something from varying angles, muse on it for an extended unnatural timescale which never happens with a ref on the pitch, and then come to the...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

The guidance from IFAB. It is not for a rule change for England and U7 -U9 football that will be implemented in my region in September. Yes, I am going in circles because you are ignoring the issue of child safety. You are missing consistently the child there. These are not adults. This will...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

Yes the assertion is heading a ball in the U7 - U9 age group next season is an offence. In any of my games I will not ignore that rule based upon safety. I will not ignore FA guidance in my training as a coach. You might want to reflect on this. Where is your guidance that supports ignoring a...

    Heading U7 - 11 rule changes

Yes, utterly logical. There should be no ambiguity, this is an issue of safety, there is no grey area, it is safety that is the paramount concern.
