Head injuries are no different in procedure than any other injury.
In most cases players aren't supposed to receive treatment on the pitch.
But it does depend how the (head) injury occurred.
If it was the result of a reckless or excessive force action from an opponent and they receive a yellow or red card they can stay on if treatment is donevquickly (20-25s from when everyone is ready to restart).
Otherwise, yes, they must leave.
I'm confused by this question. Your OP said:Thanks, and after assessment by physio/bloke with sponge/the one whose done his first aid?
Post treatment on the pitch
With L4's officiating I'm finding that difficult to believe. (No offence). Thanks James. watching games at western league level well head injuries are not treated the same. Players get the just get on with it from sponge man and refs just carry on with players not leaving the pitch.
