Number of game at level 4

@ARF My experience this year is I have mainly had middles at step 5/6 as a level 4 and lines have been limited.

Number of game at level 4

    Just middles

Number of game at level 4

Just wondering how many fixtures Level 4 refs usually do in a season. I’ve done 22 so far and want to check if that’s a lot.

    Coach storming onto pitch

Correct for sending off the coach. After being sent off, the coach must not return to the pitch. If they wished to speak to their team, this should have been done in the changing room at half‑time or full‑time. I would include this in an extraordinary report, as the coach should have left the...

    Level 4 & above fixtures

As you move up the non‑league refereeing ladder from Level 4 to Level 2, is it normal to not get an appointment every weekend? And when you don’t have a fixture at your level, do you usually drop down to grassroots

    Contact lenses

Just wear contacts, if fitted correctly shouldn't be any problems. I normally put them in for the day.

Ref halts game for 10 mins for spectator abuse to assistant

Silly comment. At the professional level it’s a different game, and I’d expect club stewards or the police if needed would deal with anyone who goes too far.

    Open Age Un...bloody...believable

Just keep to the facts as in your report. The player and the club are just wasting the CFA time. They will probably end up with a higher fine and suspension.

Ref halts game for 10 mins for spectator abuse to assistant

I'm sorry but this never understandable.

    Not a good look

This behaviour does not help any referee at any level.

Quick indirect free kick inside the box

This is exactly why we take control of the freekick straight away.

Coach refusing to come on for injured player

This is happening more often at step 6/5. Last week, I waved the physio on after getting no response from a player when I checked on him. As soon as the physio came on, the player started complaining that he didn’t want or ask for treatment. Well, he should’ve said something when I came over...

    Minute silence for remembrance

When should we begin the minute’s silence—this weekend (1st November) or next (8th November)? And should the home team request it, or should we suggest it ourselves?

Quick indirect free kick inside the box

No law to say they can't take a quick free kick however if the referee intervened to manage the wall or enforce distance which is what I would be doing. It would be on my whistle I wouldn't be allowing a quick free kick inside the box to the attacking team.

Unfortunately No. You need to complete 5 games youth or adult

Pre match warm up Level 4 and above

What does your pre-match warm-up look like as a level 4 referee? What stretches, exercises, and sprints do you usually do and how long does your warm-up last?"

Observation marks: what counts as avarage-good-very good?

The average Mark in our area for level 4 this season is 72.3. So I would agree anything 73 or above would suggest you having a good game. Have the FA drop the average this season Last season it was 72 not 71.5 ?

    Observation

I genuinely value all observer reports, as they provide fair and unbiased feedback. They help me understand both what I'm doing well and where I can improve. That said, when it comes to promotion, the average score is what ultimately counts.

    Observation

First observation as a L4, positive feedback from Observer just asking what a respectful mark would be?
