Wolves v Sunderland - Hair Pulling

I'm seeing something different from everyone I guess. This is the most deserving of the 4 red cards for hair pulling this season. He has hold of his hair for ages. Hair feels different from shirt. Knows what he's doing IMO

    PSG v Bayern

ECL refs have never liked seeing a game go by without them leaving their mark. Now with VAR it's even easier for them to stink a tie up with soft calls (or even dow right bad ones like today). How 2 refz have concluded that is HB is beyond me. To any European colleagues, are you taught to...

Brentford vs Fulham - Hair Pulling

Whilst I disagree, I actually don't think either of us have posted anything egregious. Others have been over zealous.

Brentford vs Fulham - Hair Pulling

Ah but Rusty's allowed to say others are wrong because of the team they follow? How does that work then?

Brentford vs Fulham - Hair Pulling

DCL pulled some hair just now in the FAC semi final. I make that the 3rd hair pulling incident in English football since Martinez that has gone unpunished. It's okay though, the FA have told us there is "zero tolerance" to hair pulling.

    Man City v Arsenal

That is a hot take indeed. I don't want to be rude but you are 100% wrong.

    Man City v Arsenal

Which is why players dive and roll around. Because referees will go with the leniant option if you don't.

    Man City v Arsenal

I would show this game to new refs in how to let player tussles escalate and do nothing aboutnit. (And then ignore the most blatant VC you could see - hair touching aside).

Man United Vs Leeds - Hair Pulling

I've yet to see any yanking of the hair in the 20 times I've watched the replay. If this is VC then so is DCL's grab around the neck (not a RC either) and we'll have two red cards then. A 3 match ban. Same as a headbutt or punch in the face. Pretty hard to compare.

    Atletico v Barca VAR

Sending the referee to the monitor for the 2nd one is astonishing. The ref seeing it and then reversing his CORRECT decision is double astonishing.

Martinelli incident - Southampton vs Arsenal FA Cup QF

Surely you see why a referee needs to be more protected than a player?

    Bournemouth vs Man United

Neither were pens. VAR are the problem, not sending thebref tot he monitor for the 2nd pen is unreal.

    AFCON Final

I think by "at the time" he means "not 2 months later". I've no doubt my county FA would take 9 months to complete on this case. A continental FA? Anything over 7 days is a joke.

    AFCON Final

Just have an auction for the trophy next time, like FIFA do for hosting the WC.

    LIV v MCI

He made a good call for the pen as well which a lot of refs arent giving.
  16. deusex

    LIV v MCI

No didn't. The goal was correctly disallowed.
  17. deusex

    LIV v MCI

Just no. You don't get to ignore a foul jusy so you can bottle a RC.

    AFCON Final

I'll behave myself and say this was nothing more than two truly awful decisions against the same team and congrats to Senegal for overcoming such a mountain.

    Tottenham v Liverpool

That Gordon one is orders of magnitude worse. The contact point is the only similarity (well, and VVD )

    Tottenham v Liverpool

I put it firmly under "ouch - but it happens". It doesn't have that stamping down look that would make me think it deliberate. I think he's legitametly gone for the ball and totally f***ed it up. I admit I can't find any pros defending Simons. Maybe I'm a few years behind on the the curve of...
