    4/3W

Can't confirm the timings - but normally around the end of may/early june as you need to have time to book on a session. They are run with the L4's and also some sessions on their own.

    Level 3/4 Pathway Choice

From what I understood from the call today is that if you select to become a SAR at L4 then in the future you decide you want to referee again then you can, but it may be a step lower. The aim of it was that some people just want to run the line etc, so instead of having to wait you can select...

    Cubs marks and position

Depending on your county/leagues your on, some of them base cup finals on the club marks. So thats another indictor. But as said don't worry too much about club marks. Even at L4+ they are not as important as they used to be. Rememeber a club will probably mark low if they don't win etc..

Number of game at level 4

    First season

If anything I was probably harsher on the team I covered. Once I started booking the players I knew it was time to take it more seriously. But it was a great experience and while coaching I did it mainly as my son played and no-one else stepped up to help.

How many matches have you refereed this season?

I am currently at 96 games - a mix of lines and middles across the mens and womens game. I enjoy the game and if I don't have an "official" appointment I cover games for my local referee secretary.

    First season

Great to hear your enjoying it. I started around 20 years ago - initially as the team I played for needed a "club referee" - took the course and reffed for a mate on Sunday mornings. Roll on a few years I then started my progression through the system, while coaching my oldest's team (and having...

    Cup Final Fixture

Well done on your appointment. The big difference is that you will have neutral assistants. Treat the game as any other game and try to avoid the "external noise". Concentrate on your game and don't get swayed into making a decision by the crowd. Best of luck

is women football better than mens?

The main difference at the National League Level on the womens game I find is the pace of the game. The equilvant level in the mens is much quicker. The womens game I find is more technical and yes you do get less abuse, not saying there is not any. The female pathway is going through lots of...
