In the same game, I was intrigued at the penalty shot out. Referee walked off to the penalty mark & AR briefed both GKs on his expectation on leaving their line etc. I have not seen a referee delegate this to their AR, is it a best practice? or actually better for the referee to be present at?

For me a red, had plenty of time to avoid this collision, wasn't getting to the ball. Excessive force & endangered safety of opponent.
