    Unsure of sanction...

Nope I’m sorry, for me the reaction of the opponent has nothing to do with it. Some people wouldn’t know how to react

    Unsure of sanction...

I would have no problem with dismissing - for me that’s the same as trying to grab an opponent by their genitalia. It is an unsolicited sexual advance and should be treated as such

    City vs Cardiff

Penalty on Mahrez? There's a foul there!

    Penalty run up

Yep. He initiates the contact then embellishes it.

    Straight Red

Is it offensive, insulting or abusive? There's your answer

    Intimidation

Isolate them, use calming body language (hands palm down for example), take your time. There’s no rush to speak. Use the time walking to an isolated spot to run over what you’re going to say. Don’t be afraid to speak slowly so you can think as you’re talking. Take deep breaths as you’re walking...

    Shocker

Very hard to take but sounds like you did alright, and you have assessed your own performance which is the most important thing to do - you’re right on the red card, should also be put in as a misconduct report if I’m not mistaken as it’s assault on a ref. Same goes for the bloke who came back...

    CAR vs CHE

When a player is that close, stepping back is often a good move to allow yourself to see further back on the pitch, so the player isn't obscuring your view. Didn't work in this case but if players are ever running near me on the wing, stepping back a couple of paces really allows you to see down...

    CAR vs CHE

I'm not convinced by DOGSO - ball not under control nor do I think it's that likely it would have been. Even then, still a fair bit of work to do to get a shot off, never mind it being an obvious goalscoring opportunity. I'm fine with a yellow there

    4th game

Yeah, often at that age there’s one big mouth who thinks they’re the class clown - stamping down on it early is important for maintaining control. Sounds like you dealt with it well!

    Setting a wall

I rarely wait, what I do do is make sure I take enough spotting the ball and pacing out, setting the wall and then getting into position before blowing the whistle that everyone is ready by that point. Saves any complaints

    Baggies v Brummies

Think it's just in the area, really really tight one. Penalty for me

    Dream I keep having

God I thought I was the only one. I have this dream so often, whichever way I blow nothing happens. Crazy

Awww he is only a kid and its enthusiasm.......

Is there a stamp a couple of seconds in too or have I gone mad? The blue player who clears the ball first

Junior/Youth Laces - holding up play

I am almost always happy to stop to laces, if it’s done as a clear timewasting tactic then I’ll make it clear to everyone I’m adding time on. I’d rather ensure a fair contest by making sure everyone has safely tied their laces and I have no qualms about stopping the game for 20 secs when the...

Is this is what junior football has become?

I was taught exactly this too.

I definitely think you can justifying cautioning it - maybe USB other.

    Dissent, ball in play

Yeah a weird one but useful to remember thst if there’s some form of contact, you’re going for a DFK. We learn for future games!

    Dissent, ball in play

DFK. Take away the initial 50/50 for the moment and imagine all you see is a push somewhere on the field. Easy DFK. The fact there’s a challenge before is irrelevant as you adjudged it to be no foul

Weak, weak referees in my league

@IslandReferee what an odd comment, why does the number of games you do a year have anything to do with it? A plethora of reasons why one wouldn’t be able to do 120 a year (availability of games, your availability, work, family etc.). Strange
