    Man City v Arsenal

How close the ball is to the spot of the foul is irrelevant. After blowing up for a foul he’s booted the ball 30 yards down the pitch thus delaying the restart. It doesn’t have to stop a quick free kick, it just has to delay it. Referees have been strict on it this season and been a big talking...

    Man City v Arsenal

Seeing the physios run on the FOP from that Raya goal kick after MO told him to play on is a terrible piece of game management. We all have off days but it felt like MO struggled today
  3. Q

    Man City v Arsenal

If he hadn’t have heard the whistle he wouldn’t have turned around to appeal the free kick. It’s purely Trossard being stupid, especially after the Rice decision. He only has himself to blame
  4. Q

    Rice red card

The question shouldn’t be ‘did the referee get the Rice decision wrong’, it should be did he get the Pedro decision wrong. That was the mistake, not the red card

    Kit clash

so the question here is, assuming no other kits were available, are you letting the game go ahead in the way it did?
  6. Q

    Kit clash

entire ref team has had a nightmare there if we’re being honest. Even at the last minute they would have had them all lined up stood next to each other before walking them onto the pitch, how does nobody notice they are in identical colours

    Fitness test

Only one drop out through injury for our 2 tests today. Unsurprisingly the only person who decided not to warm up …

    Fitness test

From what I’m hearing around my county is that the failures tend to be the new sprints rather than the actual run. The gates are catching a few out who were on the borderline using a stopwatch last year

    NEW SIN BINS

Wait a second … have they just applied common sense to the LOTG?? A very welcome change this

    Blood pressure for fitness tests

Day Lewis pharmacy will do it for £2 if you don’t qualify for it on the NHS

    Everton - Forest

I’m really surprised the third wasn’t given as a penalty.Looks a nailed on penalty and with AT giving a big ‘won the ball’ gesture I’m surprised it’s not given as a clear and obvious error. Accusing the VAR of bias though, totally unacceptable. These are paid professionals with careers on the line
  12. Q

    Arsenal V Aston Villa

Yes, and the 4th official casually walked toward him to ask him to move after the throw in was taken. I don’t understand how it’s acceptable, it’s so easy to enforce when there’s a big white box there to guide you

    Fitness test

Is this answer I wanted :)
  14. Q

    Fitness test

How many attempts do current level 4’s have at the fitness test? I’ve heard on the rumour mill that it’s only 1 attempt this year (surely that’s incorrect?). I’m travelling for 4 weeks and return to a test 3 days after so no time to prepare. If the 1 attempt is right, I’ll put it off until the...

    WOL Vs WHU

So his idea to fix what he’s cited as a problem with the wording of the law, is to have an appeal system whereby referees will check for a second time something they’ve already checked. Tell me Gary, does the appeal allow them to reword the law as I’m not sure how that fixes you concerns …

    Level 4 - What Happens?

Agree with the majority of this. It’s my first season at 4 and whilst I’ve enjoyed the better standard, spectators, neutral assistants etc, there’s a lot more outside of the match day itself which I’ve found has taken away a chunk of the enjoyment, something I didn’t have last season. That being...
  17. Q

    Wolves vs Coventry

What we don’t want is referees making decisions based on assumptions
  18. Q

    Wolves vs Coventry

Must have missed the part where VAR told Wolves they had to stop defending after the 95th minute
  19. Q

    Second Cautions

There we a few in that arsenal game. Havertz and Gabriel both on a booking the - Havertz dive. There’s no question in my mind that the referee is going to card him and then hesitates - Gabriel dissent when he thinks he should have a penalty. Runs a good 20 yards to shout in the referees face...
  20. Q

    Forest Vs Liverpool

He doesn’t, this is edited (likely why they zoom in to keep the referee off the screen). If you watch the full footage, there’s no whistle and he doesn’t put the whistle to his mouth either
