This is my 2nd fixture on the league - first one I had 2 neutrals.
I've just looked at the rest of the fixtures for the weekend's game.
10 games
10 Referees
2 games without ARs
5 games with 1 AR
3 games fully covered.
Perhaps they will chop and change to give 2 ARs across more fixtures...
I've been appointed to a step 6 game on Saturday, I currently have 1 neutral assistant appointed.
I would assume I keep them bench side for both halves? Would I continue to ask my CAR to only give ball in and out of play and off sides? Ignoring fouls & misconduct.
71 & 73. So I'm averaging a 72 which I'm fine with.
Made sure I applied stepped approaches, spoke to change of linos etc just to up the score where I could. Was actively aware during the game that (because of how well I managed it obviously) there was little to report on.
2 Observations here so far - both without neutrals on nothing games so I'm really hoping I can get my next few with neutrals to help my development.
I'm more worried about lines currently. Only 1 so far this season. Changed supply leagues to give me a better chance.
Surprised they have allowed the red card to stand. I would have thought they would wipe the slate clean for the game.
Are any yellows still counted? I'm out of touch with the ins and outs but in the FA Cup do you have a totting up protocol and have a ban for the next round after too many yellows?
Spoke to a 6-5 today under Middlesex FA. He said they do not get told when an observer is coming and only after the game will they know.
Does this sound right?!
As a level 6 I went to Dorchester from Andover which was 1H30 each way/ 65 miles.. for an U18 line. I got £20 and no fuel.
Happy to do it but was trying to avoid it if I could :D
My county FAs online seminar was moved to a date I couldn't do. They have so far only offered alternatives at in person seminars with different FAs all over 2H drives from me.
Is anyone aware of any online seminars happening within their local FA that I could tag onto and complete?
IF he hadn’t of moved his hand. Are you giving a penalty?
I agree with the penalty, and the red but only because of what appeared to be the deliberate movement towards the ball.
My pre match instructions to coaches/captains for friendlies are along the lines of:
Yellows I will manage where possible, reds are reds. Cards will be submitted to the local FA.
Most accept this and understand I will do what is required whilst also letting everyone have a good run out. Seems...
