    Unbelievable!

Well, what a story to tell! Went to watch Altrincham FC v North Ferriby today - Conference North, 1st v 3rd. I saw Anthony Taylor before the game (he supports Althrincham), and I've met and spoke to him before at a talk he did a few weeks back so I went and sat next to him. We were chatting...

Have you sorted out the getting a game over there thing?:)

Thanks:) I've made many mistakes, and I'm sure I'll make many more, it was just the easiest decision of the day! But, I got the decision right, the signal wrong, so I'm sure I'll be fine. The line I was on this Sunday has been converted to an academy middle, so I won't have a line before my...

Thanks:) I've got another big game coming up in a few weeks, but before that I've got another line, so I'll be able to get it out of my system before then:)

    Anthony Taylor

But that's not the same? We're talking about a football game, not a serial killer. A totally different context. And, technically not the same. Murder would mean they have purposefully taken life (premeditated), where as Anthony Taylor won't have purposefully or premeditatedly made those...

    Anthony Taylor

Some might agree or disagree with me here (I'll argue in Law 5 it says in the opinion of the referee;):p), but even after all those slow motion replays on MOTD, I still can't make my mind up! So there would be no chance of me getting it right in live time with one view! I thought he did well...

Thanks:) I understand what you mean, and fully agree - the only reason it got me down was because it was so blatantly obvious, so I just felt stupid after it!

Cheers:) It was just how obvious the call was that annoyed me! We had a good laugh about it after the game, I just annoyed myself with it, and wasn't comfortable for the rest of the half! Thanks though, appreciate it:)

Today I had a very good appointment - City v Birmingham ladies, for which I was on the line. First half I was involved a lot, all in my half, and I did really really well, all my flags were correct, and there were no complaints whatsoever. Then, in the second half, my head was still in the...

    Anthony Taylor

I think he's quite a good referee - and surely the fact he has been awarded his FIFA badge proves this? He is quite keen on man managing things, and I think he is a good referee. Surely we can all agree that Howard Webb is an excellent referee? But based on some of his decisions this season we...

    3rd assessment

Can he assess you without you knowing? From around here, you must be told at least the night before that you are being assessed. As you said, he contradicts himself, and it doesn't really make sense.:hmmm: Seems a bit dodgy what he was saying, let us know how the assessment is when it comes...

Busy period coming up and first welsh ladies prem middle

I too have them coming up, but I find refereeing does me good! I have a clear head for them, don't concentrate on school work and works wonders for me - means I'm not stuck doing revision all the time!

    Interesting Appointment

I'd say that could be a risky decision. Gauge how the game is, and if needs be do as Southend said and clamp down on the game. Yet you may also be setting your stall out very early if you do this, and then you may end up having to caution 5 players because you showed how you were going to ref...
