Any point putting match on wholegame if no cards?

If a player tackles recklessly is c1 Reckless play... If a player fouls an opponent in order to prevent a promising attack it's c1 Foul tackle That's my understanding

Just gonna throw this out there... What I have noticed from my time on here is that the posters who stick stringently to the law are also the ones who seem first to call others names... I'll name names if you like but if you read up and on other similar threads then there are the same probably...

I get that but surely at lower levels there is even greater call for common sense when it comes to situations like this...

Why no?? I've been told enough times by enough high level referees/coaches etc that refereeing to expectations is a good thing... By that I don't mean that I ignore ofinabus or dissent, or that I back out of big decisions. What I do mean is that certain games require a different approach... In...

Out of interest... Can any of the 'by the book' camp understand the 'give em a warning' camp's point of view?? As a warning guy myself I can understand why the 'by the book' camp do what they do, after all the good book says this is a caution able offence...

Why so strict?? Yes it should be a caution, but no one expects it, no one wants it, and all that will happen (imo) is the players will walk around thinking "what a jobs worth" and the likelihood of be building a rapport with them is around 0

Quite... Personally I prefer to referee to expectations. (Cue backlash)

And I bet he does it every week... When I played out keeper used to do 3 of these at intervals in his half of the pitch... Never brought up on it once

Most players don't know they can't do it and will be very surprised to receive a caution... Surely shouting across at him to pack it in would do the job?? Just my opinion...

Foul tackle breaking up a promising attack would fit the bill

    New season, New assessments

First assesment on Saturday... Div 1 game between 4th and 7th. Looking forward to it :D Only think is that it says I'm going for promotion 6-4, however I haven't even put forward from promotion yet (emailing rdo later today to see when he wants to know by) and even if I had I certainly wouldn't...

    "Line" of offside flag

But in practice I don't think I've ever seen someone do that... It always seems to be from the point where the player became active

That first one is what I was hoping for!! Can some big moderator boss person please put it in my post so I don't look so silly please :)
