World Cup Round of 16 Referee Appointments

Saw both of his games, he was impressive. Noticed Collina was there in person for his last match.

World Cup Round of 16 Referee Appointments

Watch the Iranian guy, one of those with a chance for the final imo.

    Morocco vs Spain

I think Morocco must initiate the appeal, otherwise FIFA will not do anything.

    Morocco vs Spain

Here the match would have to be replayed, it is called a "Technical Fault" by the referee in relation to the laws of the game. He gave the corner at one side of the field and it was taken from the opposite side. Will be interesting to see FIFA's response if Morocco make an appeal.

Should Umtiti not have been given a yellow for the handball which gave the Aussies a penalty?

I don't know your youth football so I cannot comment.

I don't understand your point. If there is no dissent then no sin bin. Surely before you send someone to the sin bin you will have given them a warning, at whatever level. If they continue after the warning then they get 10 minutes. I do agree, there is little or no dissent from youth players.

    Sin Bins

I find it very easy, you just remember/note the time and 10 minutes later wave the player back on. I have only once had 2 players in the sin bin at the same time. It came at the start of the season, and was easy to manage. I doubt that mutiple sin-bins will happen often. in my experience the...

    Sin Bins

Been using it all season, it is purely for dissent chez nous, and we use a white card. First offence of dissent by a player = 10 minutes. If after the player returns he commits another dissent offence it is another white card but this time it becomes a red. Have to say it works great. In 55...

It has a very positive effect on dissent. I have used it only 5 times all season, it seems to have a preventative effect right from the start. Very little dissent from KO. When I have had to use it (5 separate occasions) it had a remarkable effect. No more dissent for the rest of the match. We...

Referee kicks out at player during PSG match

Also seems he's admitted the contact was accidental in his match report on reviewing the video? "Mr Tony Chapron, after reviewing the images, stated that his fall was caused accidentally. He has informed the DTA that he has prepared a report to this effect for the LFP disciplinary...

He has been suspended indefinately, and will appear before discipline commission maybe this week, if not certainly next week.

    Ligue 1 red card

Bonjour a tous, Well I personally think this is an accident, it seems like the players hand is moving up in a gesture of dissent and the referee lowers his hand with the card. The players hand makes contact with the card and it slips out of the referee's grasp. A clear gesture of dissent by...

    Offside or Goal?

From my position it was not obvious anyone was offside and I thought it was a good goal. The AR was new, his first match! He raised his flag, I might say a little hesitantly as the ball was slotted into the goal. Because of his hesitance, and being new, I thought I best go over and have a...

    Offside or Goal?

That was exactly what I did, and awarded the goal. Had all 3 been offside at the kick then I would have disallowed.
