    Single game card record

Mine is 10 in a Leicester Derby last season at step 5/6. Was really annoyed I was missing the Rams on TV against Pompey for it, with my game in the rain, but turned into a decent test for me (where was my observer when I needed them...) Biggest issue was keeping track of who I'd already got in...

    Single game card record

I'm sure there were around that number in a Belper Town game around the end of last season. Fans stating worst refereeing performance they'd ever seen, etc etc. That referee then got a decent appointment in the play offs, iirc. So make of that what you will.

Goalkeeper handling offence in penalty area + DOGSO

Honestly, this is one set of scenarios that get me. Just trying to remember if it's handling in open play or from the restart that requires the sanction. I can never quite remember which way round when thinking about it without it written down.

    Fitness test

Last year (first year) did my test asap, this year I'm working Sunday and just got back from holiday so couldn't do yesterday. I usually try and get it out the way at the start. Looks like it's Doncaster or Leicester for me next month.

    Junior/Youth It's a friendly ref!

That's my go to. Edit - to add, I say this to the captains at the coin toss, and I also say that if your players start acting silly buggers and putting naughty tackles in then the cards will come out. Forewarned is forearmed.

    CAR’s

I find that being clear to the car's what you want/expect from them, bringing them in at the same time as the captains at the coin toss so there's no confusion, goes a long way. If they signal for fouls, when you've told them not to, you have the ammunition to deal with them as you need to. I...

    Level 7

I was on it as AR a couple of seasons ago, from what I recall I didn't have any issues. If Debbie is still doing the appointments you'll be absolutely fine. I only came off it after being promoted to 4.

    Conned - Maybe...?

Cautions for unsporting behaviour attempts to deceive the referee, e.g. by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled (simulation) That would've been my decision. I did it earlier this season at step 5 in a feisty derby, no complaints from the player. Actual situation was he was...

    Bournemouth v Brentford

Just watched the clip, foot on the ball, for me he doesn't commit an offence on the player, I'd be shouting "touch not a foul, bit of pressure". Looking for it for me.

goalkeeper sent off for handball - dogso?

That's very true, I was obviously thinking about the pass back scenario.

goalkeeper sent off for handball - dogso?

For clarification, the offence happens outside the penalty area so can't be a penalty. And even if it was inside, it can't be a penalty, would have to be an IDFK.

    Surely OFFINABUS + more

I genuinely often don't hear OFFINABUS, because I'm focused on other things, as has been mentioned already. Case in point earlier this season, low mark from a team, partly on the basis that I sin binned their player (obvious, public, had just been challenged for the ball, no foul imo and...

Wholegame ERROR: An item with same key has been added

I had that issue earlier and know of another referee who's had issues so I think there's a problem with the system.

    Dissent tolerance levels

To clarify, slamming the ball down and it going very high, would be straight to a sin bin. Slamming it down and it going a couple of feet, although unlikely, could be managed, imo. Most likely straight to bringing the skipper in.

    Offside Indirect Freekick

I can't think of anything better to do on my Sunday nights! Anyway, that's my secret out...

    Offside Indirect Freekick

No, he could have a foot nearer the goal line. Try it at home. It makes sense.

    Offside Indirect Freekick

Back heel? Which it states in the LOTG IS permitted as long as the ball moves forward.
  18. wazztie16

    Offside Indirect Freekick

You can't, as all players must be behind the ball. Stated in the LOTG. Edit - behind the penalty mark, to be pedantic against myself. All players except the kicker and goalkeeper.
  19. wazztie16

    Dissent tolerance levels

The main ones for me are things that are public/obvious. By word OR action. Slamming the ball down. Could be a warning, or straight to a sin bin if you've already started the stepped approach. Screaming/shouting at me from a distance, loud, possibly swearing. Likely to be a yellow as it may not...

    Mental health

This for me is a red every time. Other posters have outlined the reasons well, but one thing I haven't seen is that the manager has a higher degree of responsibility. You could say the captain has as well, which i believe is actually written in the LOTG, iirc. But for a manager, red every time.
