I proactively make myself focus by saying what I’m seeing in my head. “Ball off red”, “fair tackle”, but also lots of talking to make sure players know you’re there - arms down, let go of him, play on etc. It’s a good way to force the initiative.

Tops arrived yesterday (had to send back others as needed to go a full size bigger). They look good. Will be walking around the house in them for a few days to wear them in!

The referee portal is absolutely rubbish! So many parts of it clearly have not been thought through. 1. Cannot delete games if you put in a team erroneously 2. Cannot edit cards 3. Unclear when it is submitted or not 4. Having to re-authenticate with email every time you use is it silly It...

On the Puma kit. I trialled it out in a pre season friendly the other day. Have to say it is very comfortable - love the shorts in comparison to the Nike. Underlayer is not great, wouldn’t buy it again, flimsy and actually quite short on the torso. Shirts are good quality. Socks are, well, socks.

Umbro Wembley still the best referee kit ever. Smart, classy and hard wearing.

I have preordered £300 worth, however not got any personalisation. Probably going to return it all for now. Will see what I feel. Might use it for my normal grassroots games/youth, but that £300 could go towards much needed other stuff… Anyone else already ordered it?
