Delusional coaches killing the youth game

Totally agree. I also coach a kids team and some of the things you hear from the other coaches is embarrassing. They get their Level 1 coaching licence then think they can do whatever they like. There are processes in place (ie marks for the opposition...coaches, players, supporters) but the...

    Start Watch/Whistle or Whistle/Start Watch.

Same here. I always note the actual time (was it 1-2 after the set KO time), just in case

    Wolves vs Arsenal

and that'll be why MO instinctively brandished a red !!!

    Wolves vs Arsenal

I guarantee this case will be used in evidence in future appeals, from other teams between now and the end of the season 🤔

    Wolves vs Arsenal

The angle of that foot is not the angle a player would use in order to just trip someone up

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Isn't that what VAR is there for, though ?

    Wolves vs Arsenal

Either MO and the VAR officials don't know what they're doing, or the panel have totally thrown them under the bus and made it 10x more difficult for all us referees out there

    Wolves vs Arsenal

    7. The role of the Regulatory Commission is not to usurp the role of the Referee and to simply re-referee the incident. But you just have ! So, why has arguably our best referee and the referees in VAR deemed it differently ?

    Wolves vs Arsenal

What a complete farce it's become. Totally agree with the comment about a court jury not being influenced etc. I'd like to know what evidence this panel has (that deemed it not a red card) that is different to the clear view of MO and the VAR room ?

    Wolves vs Arsenal

The most annoying thing for me is....you have a very experienced referee that had a very close, clear and unobstructed view of the incident. He didn't deem it a "trip", he thought it was a rake to the ankle (may have graised his shin). IMO it was an orange and could have gone either way. VAR...

    Laws of the game training.

Problem is, the handball law changes every two weeks ! ;)

    ARS vs MNU

Exactly that. I saw several where they just strolled down the pitch (or away from the attacking corner flag to give themselves a better angle) but the one you mentioned was the final straw and made me make the post. Reffing is about game control, and this is one area where you can show your...

    ARS vs MNU

Picky, I know....but any chance someone will take a throw-in from where the ball went off ? 🤔

    Brighton v Brentford

Looks to me like he's elbow him, then pulls away. Is it me ? If he'd wanted to "do him", i'm sure he would have. Silly summary of the law, though. They've been saying for years you don't have to make contact

Newcastle Vs Aston Villa- Duran Red Card

Exactly ! There seems to be too many armchair decisions, rather than trusting the refs judgement. Taylor may well have heard and seen some banter between the two and knew Duran was about to lose his head

    happy xmas to all

Have a good one, mate. Enjoy receiving some cards, rather than dishing them out each weekend ;)

Throw ins during Palace Vs Arsenal

Hmmm....perhaps one warning, and if they don't move, then foul throw ?
  18. B

Throw ins during Palace Vs Arsenal

Why don't we (or elite refs) just award a foul throw when players march 10 yards down the pitch, then ? Surely, that would be a much better way of stopping the cheating if the top referees did this rather than asking players to move back to the correct spot ?

    West Ham Vs Wolves

They don't stay down and request the medical team. They get up and sprint 30 yards in the next phase of play lol

    West Ham Vs Wolves

It's a simple solution, that they could have implemented years ago. Bans for players that are caught cheating. Drives me insane !!!
