Exactly ! that was an incident waiting to happen. Of course, I don't like seeing the player seriously injured, but I hope the world of football can somehow learn from this. But players are not supposed to appeal. They should be accepting the referees decision. IMO refs should be giving these as dangerous play, without any need to appeals for feigning injury. If they did, there'd be no need for feigning

Shouldn't matter whether he catches him or not, or whether he feigns injury IMO. His foot was high and dangerously close to the defenders head

Anyone see the goal for Brighton v West Ham, where VAR looked at a possible handball ? I was more shocked that the ref didn't give a FK before that, for dangerous play when the Brighton player attempted an overhead kick with his foot right next to the defenders head. I think it's another that...
